📣 Peter Schiff says Bitcoin’s link to gold and the Nasdaq has broken

Economist Peter Schiff believes BTC’s correlation with gold was never real, and that its previous link to the Nasdaq has effectively disappeared. He pointed out that in 2026 gold rose by 9%, the Nasdaq rose by 13%, while bitcoin fell by about 11% and is trading around $64,000

In Schiff’s view, this kind of performance calls BTC’s status as “digital gold” into question and may indicate a prolonged weakening of the asset. Bitcoin supporters counter that the market is going through a normal bearish phase, and that the current drawdown does not mean a final collapse
