Iran’s speaker of parliament says the era of unilateral agreements has ended

Golden Finance reported that on July 12, Iran’s parliamentary speaker Kalibaf posted on social media today (July 12) stating that the era of unilateral agreements has come to an end. He said that Iran had previously asked the relevant parties to fulfill their commitments and obligations, otherwise they would pay a price for it, “and now they should face reality.” Kalibaf also attached part of Article 5 from the 14 memorandums of understanding released earlier. Based on what he published, the clause emphasizes that, subject to compliance with “arrangements by the Iranian side,” the navigation in the Strait of Hormuz should be restored.
