This sell-off just now looks a lot like the main players first luring people in, then flipping and pushing the price down. $TAO has been ranging at the high level for so long—on the surface it looks strong—but what really caught my attention is that after the attempted breakout, the pause has been getting longer and longer, and the buy-side hasn’t continued to follow.

I opened my short around 277.1, not because I got carried away emotionally, but because this level is crucial. If it can’t push up, it’s easy to get smashed. Now the price is at 209; unrealized profit is +1185.26%, the room for price movement has opened up, and this round of the short has allowed me to capture the core move.

A lot of people lose money by only watching one bullish candle and ignoring whether there will be follow-through afterward. The place where things go against expectations is right here: it looks like it’s about to break through, but once the volume fades, the price drops straight down. This is the most likely moment during the session to both mislead people—and also present opportunity.

After you’re in profit, don’t get greedy to the point of losing control. For those with larger positions, you can split it into 80/20 batches to manage, keep the protective level moving up, and prevent your profits from giving back significantly. If you miss the move, don’t chase the short—wait for a more comfortable position.
