Bitcoin holdings decreased by 48%; Empery Digital sold 1,400 BTC and shifted it to an AI data center

Odaily Planet Daily reported that Bitcoin reserve company Empery Digital disclosed that it sold 1,400 BTC over the past two months, at an average selling price of $62.2k, raising a total of about $87.1 million. The proceeds are being used to invest in AI data center projects and to repay debts. Of this, some funds were used to acquire 25% equity in an AI data center project, and another $10 million was used to repay outstanding debts. After this sale, Empery Digital’s Bitcoin holdings decreased by 48%; it currently holds 1,514 BTC, worth about $97 million based on the current price. EMPD’s stock price rose 4.2% in early trading, and ultimately closed up 1.58%.
