SK hynix expects HBM prices to double by 2027
Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 12, late Friday night in Eastern US time (July 10), SK hynix CEO Kwak Noh-jung said he expects 2027 to become the most supply-constrained year in the history of the storage industry. “Now customers are coming to SK hynix to seek long-term supply agreements. Demand continues to grow, while our production capacity is constrained. Although we are doing everything we can to expand our capacity, even after 2030, customer demand may still be higher than the company’s supply capacity.” he said.
However, domestic investment-institution professionals who have previously been in contact with Korean storage manufacturers said that, in addition to their own development, executives at major overseas storage companies are also closely watching the expansion progress of Chinese storage manufacturers. China’s “two storages” (CXMT Storage and Yangtze Memory) may become the biggest long-term variable in the future storage market. (Jin Ten)
