According to Beating monitoring, after Apple sued OpenAI for stealing hardware secrets, Musk immediately seized on the matter and claimed that Sam Altman “has taken fraud to a new level.” He also posted a meme of Altman saying, “I do this because I love it,” mocking him as “possibly more devoted to fraud than anyone else in the world.” Altman fired back, saying Musk is the one pitching to stock-market investors the story that “in the short term, data centers will be sent to space.” Musk replied that the relevant equipment will be launched next year, and mocked Altman: “If parole officials approve it, you can come take a look.” At the same time, Musk kept escalating, saying Altman first “stole an open-source AI nonprofit,” and now “stole all of Apple’s mobile phone technology,” and asked what he plans to steal next.
