The Central Meteorological Observatory issued an orange warning for heavy rain at 06:00 on July 12: It is expected that from 08:00 on July 12 to 08:00 on July 13, heavy rain will occur in central and western Zhejiang, northern and western Fujian, eastern and central Jiangxi, southern and central Anhui, southwestern Jiangsu, northeastern and southwestern Hebei, western and northern Tianjin, western and north-central Liaoning, northern Jilin, southern Heilongjiang, western Yunnan, Hainan Island, and other areas. Among them, parts of central and southern Anhui, western Zhejiang, northeastern Jiangxi, and others will see torrential rain, and some areas such as southern Anhui will experience locally extreme torrential rain (250–350 mm). Local areas in central Liaoning and northeastern Hebei will have torrential rain (100–150 mm). The above areas will also be accompanied by short-term heavy downpours (maximum hourly rainfall 20–50 mm, locally over 90 mm) and local severe convective weather such as thunderstorms and strong winds.
