The death toll from the earthquake in Venezuela has risen to 4,333 people.

Jorge Rodríguez, president of Venezuela’s National Assembly, said at a press conference held in Caracas, the country’s capital, on the 11th, that the two strong earthquakes that struck on June 24 had killed 4,333 people and injured 16,740. According to the latest official figures from the Venezuelan government, since the earthquakes occurred, 1,202 aftershocks have been recorded. (Xinhua)
