Why is it that no cryptocurrency’s unit price can stay higher than Bitcoin for the long term? I’ve been thinking about this question for a long time, but I still can’t find an answer.

There was once a coin called 42coin, whose unit price briefly exceeded Bitcoin—because the total number of its coins was only 42. But it only outperformed for a short time, and then it went to zero.
There’s also a coin called YFI, whose unit price also once exceeded Bitcoin, because its total supply was only 36,600. But it’s not doing well anymore—it has since fallen to $2,000 per coin.
BTC-0.30%
YFI-0.33%
