DeepSea TechFlow message: On July 12, according to Bali Discovery, Indonesian police in Bali said that a 41-year-old Russian man was kidnapped in South Kuta on the night of July 2. During the incident, he was held captive for about 30 hours and, under assault and coercion, was forced to hand over the password to his cryptocurrency asset account. The report said the kidnappers also took his phone and the keys to his rented house, and entered his residence to take another phone so they could access the victim’s cryptocurrency asset account. The victim was abandoned in the early hours of July 4 near Jimbaran Udayana University Hospital and received treatment. Bali police said they are tracking the vehicles involved, CCTV footage, and the phone’s electronic footprints, and have not yet disclosed the amount of losses from the crypto account.
