Wu Says he learned that Adam Back, Blockstream co-founder and Hashcash inventor, and Michael Saylor, founder of Strategy, posted statements opposing the rollout of BIP 110 on the Bitcoin network. Adam Back said that BIP 110 attempts to regulate other people’s transactions, violating Bitcoin’s principles of decentralization and permissionlessness, and that forcing it through would only lead to a fork. Michael Saylor said that BIP 110 escalates the spam-dispute into a consensus change, invalidating certain valid transactions that have paid transaction fees. He believes this precedent is extremely dangerous, and that the community should focus its efforts on addressing more core threats.
