Crypto news flash: As GPT-5.6 was released, Elon Musk and OpenAI founder Sam Altman launched a public exchange on social media. Musk posted first, saying, “He’s taken scams to an entirely new level.” Soon after, he reshared a screenshot of Altman’s remarks from an earlier U.S. congressional hearing and mocked: “When he says ‘this matter,’ he means scams,” adding that “his love for running scams may exceed that of any living person.” In response, Altman replied, joking: “Buddy, you’re the one who’s truly deceiving public market investors with the ‘build a space data center in the short term.’” Then, Altman posted again to promote the latest GPT model, further countering: “Many benchmark tests show that GPT-5.6 SOL is currently the best model in the world, but the most reliable way to judge is that Elon is starting to target me again.”

The most reliable way to judge is whether Elon Musk curses at you—or so I’m impressed by that logic.

Gossip to the point of being full—these two people’s feud is even more精彩 than a TV drama.

I watched that part of the congressional remarks too—Altman really seems to be struggling to handle it.

Musk’s mouth is really harsh, but OpenAI does indeed have a bit of monopolistic flavor now.
