I don’t like the gate’s yin-yang users. In any case, users shouldn’t be treated as “thieves” for the sake of prevention and insulted before there’s solid, verified evidence. Employees’ insults also represent Gate’s usual indifference toward users. Now that backlash from traffic has arrived, it’s also normal.

But I don’t want Gate to get destroyed. The current fragile industry ecosystem can’t take it, and neither can the current liquidity. I hope every exchange can keep living well, and I hope every DeFi project can keep living well.

Losing money is one thing, but I still want to see a final, complete, detailed investigation report on the 1.7 million event, not just a vague, evasive way of brushing it off.

The public needs to know the truth. Even if it’s a hacker attack, people want to know how the hacker carried out the attack and how it should be prevented. After all, this is the first time someone has managed to break through so many layers of verification and take the funds. If there’s truly no way to figure out how it was done, then this definitely isn’t the last time. Next time, who will be affected, which exchange will be affected—then it’ll really just come down to luck...
