Sino-Namib Joint Declaration: Agrees to strengthen cooperation in developing key minerals such as uranium, lithium, and rare earths

July 10, the Joint Statement between the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Namibia on building a China–Namibia community with a shared future in the new era was released. The statement said both sides recognize the strategic value of critical minerals to the global economic transition and agreed to strengthen cooperation in the development of key minerals such as uranium, lithium, and rare earths, to promote sustainable development and advance local processing and increase product added value. Both sides will encourage partnerships that facilitate technology transfer, local skills development, and industrial capacity building. (Jiemian News)
