Specter investigation of the BONK DAO governance attack: Realms founder is suspected to be linked to the attackers’ funds flow

Mars Finance reports that on-chain security analyst Specter said in a post that after a preliminary investigation into the BONK DAO governance attack incident, it found notable on-chain links: Realms founder and Crypto Notte were both found to have on-chain financial exposure linked to the suspected attacker’s associated address. Specter noted that on June 30, 2026, the attacker created a malicious governance proposal via a certain address. The proposal required support for voting power equal to 1% of the BONK circulating supply in order to pass. It then acquired the required voting power between July 4 and 5 via exchange purchases and through marginfi lending, with the borrowing amount totaling about $4 million.
