This short position finally came true. The drop from the highs in $ESPORTS —many people were still thinking it would pull back and continue up. At the time, I wasn’t watching just for the drama; it was that the buy-side support above was clearly thinning out.

I treated this $ESPORTS trade according to a short-sell rhythm. After entering around 0.04371, the price kept getting pushed down to 0.01605. Now the unrealized profit is already +1245.98%. Put simply, this isn’t luck. It’s because the price kept failing to break through repeatedly from the earlier high, and the market had already given the signal.

What really kept me holding was that during the sell-off, the rebound strength never really got strong. Every time it was pulled up, sell orders would press it back down—showing that the bulls weren’t as proactive anymore. A lot of people are afraid of missing the bounce, but they end up getting tricked into it by the rebound.

Now the profits have been released. Those with heavy positions can consider taking 80% off the table first, and keeping 20% with a protection level while looking for further extension. Don’t let the profits you’ve got get eaten away by a retracement. If you didn’t get on board, don’t rush—after the short has been realized, you definitely can’t chase randomly. Wait for the next time at a more comfortable level.
