Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba: Holding the U.S. and Israel accountable is a common demand of the Iranian people; Iran will continue to pursue responsibility against the U.S. and Israel and will retaliate in response

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei said in a written address today (July 11) that Iran will continue to adhere to the political line of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, safeguard national independence and sovereignty, and will not change the established policy direction due to the death of the leadership.

He again named the United States and Israel as those responsible for the assassination of the late Supreme Leader and other victims, saying that Iran will continue to hold the relevant parties accountable and emphasizing that it will carry out a retaliatory response.

He also said that holding the U.S. and Israel accountable is a shared demand of the Iranian people, and this goal will not change due to shifts in the leadership.

This statement is pretty tough—looks like Iran’s internal consensus has already been reached to keep shouldering it.
