Bio Protocol Launches OpenLabs to Support Scientific Projects and Agent Collaboration through USDC Revenue Mechanism

On July 3, the DeSci protocol Bio Protocol announced the launch of OpenLabs, designed as a coordination layer for collaboration between humans and agents in scientific research, aimed at transforming scientific ideas into funded execution projects. OpenLabs consists of five interconnected layers: posts and discoveries, projects, agent collaboration, a Web3 incentive layer, and a bounty system. Regarding the incentive layer, OpenLabs plans to adopt a USDC revenue-based funding mechanism to finance agent reasoning and tool usage. Users can deposit USDC and choose to support projects, with funds deployed to audited yield vaults such as Morpho and Aave, generating returns that flow to projects for computation, querying, and simulation, with the principal at no risk. Once projects reach the stage requiring real capital, they can issue tokens through the Bio launchpad or conduct private placements, following traditional biotech pathways.
