This morning at Pudong Airport, I saw an ad for Doubao. The slogan is pretty good—have to say, the Doubao product is genuinely well made.

My parents both use it now. My mom uses Doubao to learn English, find handwriting practice sheets, and check inspection reports, etc. She was recommended by friends from an older adult university, and she says it’s more useful than Baidu.
My dad started using Doubao to do calculations and make spreadsheets. There’s a middle-aged uncle near him who works with him; he’s almost sixty and hasn’t had much schooling—so a lot of things he relies on teaching himself. Before there was AI, he would go online to find all kinds of courses to learn. After AI arrived, whenever there was something to do—or even when there wasn’t—he would chat with Doubao and pick up some new things. Last year, my dad picked up on it and started using it too.
