After many people get liquidated, they always feel it’s because they were unlucky, or the dealer was too ruthless.
But in the end, many losses aren’t caused by the market—they’re caused by not understanding rollovers (rolling positions).
Many people think a rollover means making money and then continuously adding to their positions: you make a bit of profit, feel like it can still go up, add a little more, and finally your position keeps getting heavier.
At first it may feel great, but once the market comes back with a correction, the profits you made earlier can be wiped out easily—sometimes even the principal can’t be held $B .
The real people who know how to roll positions never bet with their principal; they use profits to amplify gains.
I also fell into this trap before. After making profits a few times in a row, I thought my condition was back, and my position kept getting bigger. Then one time I was wrong in my judgment, and the accumulated profits were immediately wiped out.
Later I realized: the most important thing about rolling isn’t how much you make, but whether you can keep staying alive in the market.
My principle has always been simple: first let the trade generate profit, then consider increasing position size. When you don’t have certainty, don’t force extra leverage just to make money $XPIN .
And the more you keep winning, the more you should stay calm—reduce risk appropriately. Don’t assume you’ve already “figured out” the market just because a few trades went smoothly.
Making money in crypto isn’t about one sudden turnaround; it’s about repeatedly accumulating small advantages.
Only if you can protect your principal and control your emotions do you have the right to wait for the next round of opportunities $TAC .
Rollovers aren’t gambling-style amplification; they’re growing your capital slowly while keeping risk under control.
If you’re still chasing pumps and selling at the worst times, or holding losing positions and adding to your position to average down, come chat with me—let’s help you avoid some detours.
