Mars Finance news, July 11: The investment institution where Kong Lingguo is based focuses on investing across the entire semiconductor industry chain. MuXi Co., Ltd., which was listed on December 17, 2025, began making successive investments totaling 250 million yuan starting from the angel round. After the company went public, large amounts of unrealized gains appeared on its books. In the angel round, angel-round investors invested 50 million yuan in MuXi; over 5 years, the unrealized gains exceeded 74 billion yuan. Why is this company so highly regarded by capital? Founder Chen Weiliang had previously served as AMD’s global head responsible for GPU design across several generations. Software CTO Yang Jian had been AMD’s first corporate academician in Greater China. Hardware CTO Peng Li had been AMD’s first global Chinese female academician. Together, the three of them have more than half a century of chip design experience. It is precisely this “dream team” that enabled the company to secure investments from top institutions such as Li Capital, Sequoia, and Matrix right at the start of its business venture. It is understood that the company’s chips have already been applied in multiple domestic thousand-TOPS computing power centers. Some institutions predict that by 2029, China’s domestic computing power card procurement value will reach 1.44 trillion yuan.
