Microsoft invests $2.5 billion to set up an AI deployment team

On July 3, Microsoft is investing $2.5 billion to set up a new business unit dedicated to helping enterprise customers deploy artificial intelligence technology. The unit is called Microsoft Frontier Company, and it will integrate around 6,000 engineers, technical consultants, and sales teams, with staff directly stationed inside client companies to provide services.
