Iran’s President travels to Iraq to attend Ayatollah Khamenei’s funeral ceremony

Iranian President Pezeshkian will travel to Najaf in Iraq seven days from now to attend the funeral ceremonies for Iran’s late supreme leader Khamenei, which will be held on the 8th, and will hold talks with Iraqi Prime Minister Zaidi. The funeral procession for Khamenei arrived in Qom, Iran’s Shiite holy city, on the morning of the 7th, where tens of thousands of people attended the related funeral ceremonies. On July 3, a farewell ceremony for Khamenei’s remains was held in Tehran, with participation from people from across Iran, religious leaders, and officials from multiple countries. (Xinhua)
