Tencent is in talks to acquire Manus? An insider: Tencent will still retain minority shareholder status

Reports say Tencent is in talks to become the largest shareholder of the general AI Agent company Manus. According to the report, a group of mainland Chinese investors led by Tencent is repurchasing all of Manus’ equity from Meta at an approximately $2 billion valuation. The reporter contacted Tencent for verification, but as of the time of publication, Tencent has made no response. Another insider told the reporter that after this transaction, Tencent will still hold a minority shareholder position, but will not have controlling ownership. (Nandu)
