Zelensky urges NATO to increase air defense support for Ukraine

During the NATO summit on the 7th, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged NATO and its member states to increase air defense assistance for Ukraine. Zelensky said that air defense is Ukraine’s current “top priority.” Ukraine has the capability to handle many defense tasks on its own, but still needs partners to show greater determination in the air defense field. Zelensky also said that Ukraine has discussed with the United States the issue of production licensing for the “Patriot” air defense system. He said that on the 8th, the Ukrainian side will meet with U.S. President Trump to discuss several topics, including the “Patriot” system. (Xinhua)
