Reserve company assets shrink by over $100 billion: holdings hit a new high, but the pace of increasing positions is nearly stalled

Abstract generation in progress
Analyst Darkfost monitoring data shows that since October 2025, the total market value of Bitcoin “reserve companies” has evaporated by more than $100 billion, with their valuation falling from $396 billion to $272 billion. Despite the decline in asset market cap, the total amount of BTC held by these companies increased from 950k to 1.14 million. The data indicates that these companies’ large-scale accumulation was mainly concentrated from November 2024 to October 2025, when the entry price range was between $75k and $125k; during that period, their holdings tripled. However, since May this year, as the market has entered a “deeply undervalued” zone, these enterprises’ pace of additional buying has slowed significantly, even trending toward a standstill. The market is focused on whether, as top firms such as Strategy begin a selling mode, these reserve companies that entered at “high levels” will choose to “cut losses” and exit at “low levels.”

The distribution of this holding cost of the reserves company—the wind at the top of 125k is a bit too strong.

Unrealized losses and realized losses are two different things. If you don’t sell, you won’t lose—classic old saying.

Adding to positions at the top while lying low with positions at the bottom—this move is one I’m familiar with.

After May, buying increases slowed down; it suggests the bullets are out, but they still don’t dare to jump in.

Market cap evaporated by a trillion, but the coins went up—this balance can’t be figured out. Waiting for an expert to explain.

As strategies start selling, if reserve companies follow by cutting losses, then the cost line of 75k to 125k becomes the ceiling

Falling from 396 billion to 272 billion looks scary on paper with unrealized losses, but denominated in the coin the value has tripled—so did this round actually lose or make money?
