#WorldCupChampionPrediction

My World Cup Champion Prediction Hasn't Changed - I'm Still Backing Spain We are at a point in the tournament where all matches have started to feel like finals! All the matches are extremely tight and you can be sure that one strong performance could entirely transform the look of the title. Having taken note of how things have developed through the knockout stage so far, I am still standing by Spain as the team I am most likely to be cheering with the World Cup trophy in the air.

A great part of the team’s appeal lies in their balance.

They seem to be organised from the first whistle to the final whistle of the game and are known to be able to control the game with possession while still defending efficiently. It would not be an exaggeration to state that they don’t necessarily win a whole lot of games by three or four goals but it would also be wrong to deny that when a team knows how to navigate a difficult situation or two. A strong and complete Spanish team should be expected to achieve this, having done exactly that all through this tournament. The competition is not yet over of course, as it is not only France who still possess the power to dispatch anyone and everyone, the ‘underdog’ has emerged from Norway and shown what they can achieve with fantastic morale and of course, even a team like England who has suffered due to an overwhelming injury concerns can always pull themselves back together with all their experience.

Therefore, if someone in a semifinal goes through and has one excellent match, all predictions might have to change.

Additionally, it has dawned upon us all in the course of this particular World Cup that a winning team must carry a considerable amount of momentum. A team that builds itself with each match played tends to win as compared to those pre-tournament favorites who have a huge reputation and very little substance or momentum. Spain appears to be exactly the kind of team we are talking about; hence I will stand by my choice, though you should expect plenty of action until the ultimate match ends!

Should Spain’s defense maintain its standard performance and they improve the efficiency at which they can put the ball in the back of the net, I would not hesitate to bet my money on them as World Champions. It is no child’s play but if there is one team to do it among the lot present, it is definitely Spain. Either way this is one of the best competitions for a while now, filled with shocks, unforgettable goals and some fantastic knockout matches.

So, who do you think is going to win the world cup?

Are you rooting for Spain with me, or do you think one of the other teams will lift the title?
