Wu Shuo learned that Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Limited (HKICL) has issued an announcement stating that it recently discovered multiple scam platforms impersonating its official website. These fake sites use the name “Buyer Online Security Assurance,” claiming to provide services such as refunds for FPS (Fast Payment System) transactions, reporting unauthorized transactions, and transaction support. They lure users into submitting sensitive information including ID photos, phone numbers, bank names, and account details, and direct users to chat with fake customer service in order to make deposits or withdrawals. HKICL emphasized that the company generally does not directly offer FPS services to the public or proactively contact individual users, and called on the public to be wary of suspicious communications.
