Tencent is in talks to acquire Manus? Insiders: Tencent will still retain a minority shareholder position

Odaily Planet Daily reports: There are reports that Tencent is in talks to become the largest shareholder of general AI agent company Manus. According to the report, a group of China-based investors led by Tencent is set to repurchase all of Manus’s equity from Meta at an approximately $2 billion valuation. The reporter contacted Tencent for verification; as of the time of publication, Tencent has made no response. Another insider said that after this deal, Tencent will still hold a minority shareholder position, but it will not have control. (Southern Metropolis Daily)
