Iranian Media: Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Pays Tribute to Late Supreme Leader of Iran

On July 3, Iranian media reported that Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Walid al-Khuraiji and his delegation paid tribute to Iran's late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei was killed on February 28 during a war launched against Iran by Israel and the United States. This war prompted Iran to attack Gulf countries with U.S. military bases, including Saudi Arabia. The conflict resulted in thousands of deaths, primarily concentrated in Iran and Lebanon.
