Someone asked me why I’m willing to hold Bitcoin long-term?

The more I think about it, the more I feel that I’m not holding an investment product—I’m holding a part of the world’s currency.
In the past, people placed their wealth in the currency issued by a particular country; today, I’d rather store my wealth in a currency network that belongs to everyone worldwide, and that anyone can participate in.
I’m not keeping wealth for others; I’m using my own choice to support a more open, transparent, and equal currency system for everyone. Every time I hold a Bitcoin, it’s a long-term vote of trust in these rules.
