Golden Finance reported that on July 10, according to AXIOS, Trump said on Friday that the United States agreed to continue negotiations with Iran, but will no longer comply with the ceasefire agreement. Trump’s remarks come as regional mediators have been working continuously over the past 48 hours to ease tensions and prevent the U.S.-Iran deal from completely collapsing. A source familiar with the matter said the United States and Iran are expected to hold a new round of talks next week, with the location possibly in Switzerland. Qatar’s negotiating representative coordinated with the United States on Friday to travel to Iran, met with Iranian officials, and aimed to ease tensions and create conditions for the resumption of negotiations. The diplomat said: “It is clear that both sides want to return to the framework of the memorandum of understanding.”
