CoinEx News: In an internal memo, Musk instructed Tesla employees to switch to Grok whenever feasible, citing that Grok 4.5’s token costs are lower. He also asked engineers to email him directly to report problems. This week, Tesla has just capped employees’ budgets for using other AI tools at $200 per person per week, while Grok is not subject to any limits. Over the past few months, Tesla has been internally testing Grok, and Andrew Milich, head of the SpaceX AI product, has also been assisting in troubleshooting issues. This week, Grok 4.5 was jointly released by SpaceXAI and Cursor, focusing on programming, engineering, and office tasks. The official price is $2 for every 1 million tokens for input and $6 for output.

SpaceXAI and Cursor jointly release a collaboration, directly benchmarking programming scenarios—looks like they’re going after the developers’ core base.

A $200 spending limit + direct-to-inbox email—this combo clearly looks like it’s trying to push ChatGPT into a corner; Tesla engineers are probably cursing in the streets.

Musk is basically trying to connect the whole family pack—right? Grok’s cost really can be brought down, but isn’t it a bit too much to force internal use?
