BlockBeats news: On July 11, the situation in the Middle East remains tense. Trump said he has agreed to continue negotiations with Iran, but the temporary ceasefire has ended; the US requires Iran to commit to stopping firing at ships in the Strait of Hormuz before Saturday, and said it will continue to strike Iran if necessary.

Iranian officials said they have never raised a request to negotiate with the United States, but agreed to let the mediators visit Iran; Iran’s speaker said it would not surrender, and that if the US “breaks faith,” it will adopt full-scale defense. Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian (Araghzi) will lead a delegation to visit Oman on Saturday to hold talks on the Strait of Hormuz issue and bilateral relations.

In addition, insiders said the US, Iran, Pakistan, and Qatar may hold a four-party call, and Qatar’s representative has arrived in Iran to carry out emergency mediation. Israeli sources said Trump currently does not want Israel to take part directly, to prevent the situation from spiraling further out of control; but other reports say Israel still intends to join the strikes against Iran and is waiting for the US to respond.

Meanwhile, the US announced a new round of sanctions against Iran, targeting key backers related to Mujtaba and the money exchange network; France called on Iran to immediately and unconditionally open the Strait of Hormuz and allow the International Atomic Energy Agency to verify relevant nuclear facilities.
