2026 National Summer Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season Launch

On July 8, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism launched the 2026 National Summer Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season in Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Qinghai Province.

During the consumption season, regions across the country will focus on popular demands such as summer cooling and heat avoidance, seaside resorts, night-time economy, cruise and yacht tourism, family-friendly entertainment, study tours, intangible cultural heritage cuisine, and museum visits. They will increase the supply of high-quality cultural and tourism products, hold more than 30k cultural and tourism consumption events, and distribute more than 450 million yuan in consumer vouchers and other consumption subsidies, helping residents and tourists spend a delightful summer and enjoy a wonderful journey.

The consumption season runs from early July through the end of August. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, in coordination with relevant institutions, will roll out a range of public-benefit measures during the event period covering sightseeing, summer cooling, travel, and attending sports events, among other aspects.
