Golden Finance reported on July 10. According to CBS, a source familiar with the situation said that following the sharp escalation in attacks between the United States and Iran this week, Vice President Vance and U.S. special envoys Witkoff and Kushner have been in contact with Qatari officials throughout this week. It is still unclear how much progress had been made by Friday. Mediators from Qatar, Pakistan, and other countries are working to ease the tensions this week that were sparked earlier by Iranian attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. In response, the United States carried out intensive strikes against at least 170 targets within two days, which has also prompted a new Iranian attack targeting the United States’ allies in the Persian Gulf. Iran has also confirmed that it is in discussions with mediators, but there are no signs of any new direct contact between U.S. and Iranian officials. (Jin10)
