Korean chipmaker SK Hynix, after listing in the United States, has connected its tokenized stock via Telegram’s built-in crypto wallet, Wallet in Telegram, to the xStocks platform, allowing users to buy corresponding tokenized shares. SK Hynix raised $26.5 billion through the issuance of American depositary receipts (ADRs) in the US, with its ADRs listed on Nasdaq under the trading code SKHYV. In addition to Telegram, SK Hynix’s tokenized stocks are also available for trading through Solana ecosystem platforms Backpack and Ondo Finance. Meanwhile, Backpack announced the launch of 24/7 US stock trading services for international investors, supporting trading of some US stocks and tokenized stocks. (The Block)

Korean conglomerate + US listing + on-chain trading—three layers of shell games. They clearly know how to play regulatory arbitrage.

SK Hynix’s move is pretty aggressive—using a traditional ADR plus a parallel on-chain dual-track approach, and both the old money and the new money are all trying to go after it.

Backpack runs 24/7 on US stocks—so crypto trading hours can finally be applied to stocks too. That’s hilarious.

$26.5 billion; buy directly with a Telegram wallet—this threshold is way lower than for brokers, isn’t it?
