Bijie.com news: Apple sued OpenAI and its hardware chief Tang Tan and former Apple engineer Chang Liu, alleging that the three parties systematically stole Apple’s business secrets for the development of OpenAI’s own hardware. Apple said OpenAI encouraged employees to provide information about unreleased products during interviews and instructed employees preparing to switch jobs to conceal their destination. Before leaving, Liu downloaded dozens of confidential files, including information on unreleased products and technical specifications. Tang previously oversaw the design of iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, and after leaving Apple helped found the hardware company IO Products; OpenAI acquired the company last year for $6.5 billion. Apple demanded that OpenAI stop using the relevant materials and redesign any unreleased products that may have used Apple technology. OpenAI responded that the company has “no interest” in other companies’ trade secrets and will continue focusing on developing innovative technologies that benefit users worldwide.

IO Products, acquired for $6.5 billion, if it really used Apple’s confidential information, then OpenAI would be taking a massive loss this round.
