Golden Finance reports that Gradium, a Paris-based startup providing voice AI models, announced on Thursday that its seed round has been reopened to new investors, including Nvidia, and that the total amount of the round has now reached $100 million. The company plans to use the funding to set up an office in the (San Francisco) Bay Area and compete for local talent. As Gradium put it, the move is intended to “strengthen its position in the core of the world’s leading AI ecosystem.” While Paris is a major AI hub in Europe, the move also reflects growing recognition of the benefits that AI startups can gain by being close to big players such as Anthropic, Google, Meta, and OpenAI.
