Meta's Chief AI Officer Addresses Market Misunderstanding: Zuckerberg's Comments on AI Agent Development Not Specific to Meta

On July 3, news emerged that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg told employees in an internal meeting that the development of AI agents has not accelerated "at the pace we expected" over the past four months. In response, Meta's Chief AI Officer Alexander Wang clarified in a post that Zuckerberg was referring to the overall progress of the industry in intelligent agent capabilities, rather than Meta itself. He also revealed that Meta is set to release a new round of Muse Spark updates, which will significantly enhance the programming capabilities and intelligent agent abilities of its models, making them more competitive against leading models in the industry. These updates will gradually roll out to Meta AI and the new API platform.
