Golden Finance reported that on July 11, the Trump administration plans to ease export restrictions on the United Arab Emirates, clearing obstacles for its procurement of various advanced technologies, including commercial satellites and semiconductors for artificial intelligence. In a notice the U.S. Department of Commerce is set to issue next week, it said the UAE now meets the conditions for a more relaxed treatment under U.S. export control laws. The U.S. Department of Commerce also mentioned that the UAE supports the U.S. stance in the fight against ISIS. Easing export restrictions will enable UAE companies to purchase advanced AI chips from Nvidia, AMD, and Cerebras Systems as planned. The agreement was reached between the United States and the UAE more than a year ago, requiring these companies to supply G42, a technology leader backed by the UAE, with thousands of processors for newly built AI data centers in the region.
