CryptoJie News: The U.S. government plans to ease export restrictions on the United Arab Emirates, clearing obstacles for its procurement of a range of advanced technologies, including commercial satellites and semiconductors for artificial intelligence. In a notice the U.S. Department of Commerce is set to issue next week, it said the UAE now meets the conditions for more lenient treatment under U.S. export control laws. The U.S. Department of Commerce also mentioned that the UAE supports the U.S. position in the war against Iraq. Easing the export restrictions will allow UAE companies to purchase advanced AI chips from Nvidia, AMD, and Cerebras Systems as planned. This agreement was reached between the U.S. and the UAE more than a year ago, stipulating that these companies will supply G42, the region’s state-backed technology leader, with thousands of processors for newly built AI data centers in the area.
