SK hynix ADR lands on Nasdaq! Opens with a jump to $170, as the AI memory giant reels in cash
AI memory chip giant moves into US stocks! Korean semiconductor heavyweight SK Hynix’s American Depositary Receipts (ADR) officially began trading on Nasdaq today (the 10th). Market data shows its ADR opened at $170 on the first day, far exceeding the $149 offering price, reflecting Wall Street’s strong appetite for the AI memory leader.

As the global artificial intelligence (AI) hardware race continues to run hot, memory chip leaders have once again become a magnet for capital markets.
On July 10, 2026, Taiwan time, Korean semiconductor giant SK Hynix’s American Depositary Receipts (ADR) officially started trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market, giving global investors a new channel to directly participate in the growth upside of the AI memory powerhouse.
Surges at open, outpacing the offering price
According to the latest data from traditional finance and crypto market platform BIT (bit.com), SK Hynix’s ADR performance on its first listing day was impressive, with its opening price immediately jumping to $170. Compared with the offering price of about $149 per share, it shows strong confidence from Wall Street capital in its AI chip and high-bandwidth memory (HBM) technology prospects.
Temporary code SKHYV during the pre-issuance phase, to switch to SKHY next week
Regarding the trading mechanics, the ADR conversion ratio for this listing is “every 10 ADR corresponds to 1 share of the Korean underlying stock.” Per Nasdaq’s trading arrangements, from today (the 10th) through the weekend, it falls under the conditional trading phase known as “when-issued,” and the temporary trading code is provisionally SKHYV.
It is expected that starting next Monday (July 13), the ADR will complete formal settlement and switch to the regular formal trading code SKHY. Market analysts remind that because it is currently in the pre-issuance phase on its first listing day, early trading volume and price volatility may be relatively intense due to a combination of factors such as the underlying Korean share price trend and global AI memory demand expectations. Investors should carefully assess market risks.
