being a cinephile has very little to do with watching a lot of films but rather building a relationship that unfolds over decades.


you grow up with the classics not all at once and you let them gradually find you at different moments in your life.
a film that seemed beautiful at twenty becomes devastating at thirty. the film itself hasn’t changed at all but you have.
that’s what makes cinema so appealing and endlessly alive.
