Trump: The US side has agreed to continue negotiations with Iran
According to CCTV News, local time on July 10, U.S. President Trump posted on his social media “Truth Social,” saying Iran wants to continue “negotiations” with the U.S., and the United States has agreed to continue talks. Trump also said that the U.S. has clearly informed Iran that the ceasefire has ended.
As Trump spoke, crude oil prices hit a new intraday high, and Brent crude briefly rose to above $77 per barrel. Spot gold was down 1%, at $4,071.90 per ounce. U.S. Treasury prices fell, and the Brazilian real, South African rand, and Mexican peso also fell.
