Crypto.com News: According to a report by CBS in the United States, a source familiar with the discussions said that after a sharp escalation in attacks between the U.S. and Iran this week, U.S. Vice President Vance, as well as the U.S. special envoys Witkoff and Kushner, have been in contact with Qatar officials throughout the week. It is still unclear how much progress was made by Friday; mediators from Qatar, Pakistan, and other countries are working to ease the tensions triggered earlier this week by Iran’s attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. responded with intensive strikes against at least 170 targets within two days, which in turn prompted Iran to launch new attacks targeting the United States’ allies in the Persian Gulf. Iran has also confirmed that it is holding discussions with mediators, but there are no signs of any new direct contact between U.S. and Iranian officials.

Not having direct contact means everyone speaks their own mind; we’ll talk again after it’s over.
