MU at $970—are you going to cut your losses?
Look at the surface first: it fell from 1,255 to 957, and retail investors are panicking.
Over the past month it’s down 22%, and today it’s down another 1.7% to around 975. The intraday low touched 957. But wait—since the start of the year it’s up 236%, and over the past year it’s up 694%. Earnings report revenue was $41.4 billion, gross margin 84.6%, and the Q4 guidance keeps exploding. The 950-975 zone is strong support. RSI has cooled from overbought back to neutral-to-low. Today’s low at 957 is right at the prior demand area—if it drops further, that’s literally handing out money. Don’t cut at the lowest point.
First thing: the earnings report exploded, but the stock price is down 22%—why?
When the earnings report came out on June 24, the whole market was shocked:
Revenue $4.15B, EPS 25.11, gross margin 84.6%
Q4 guidance revenue $4.9–$5.1 billion, still above expectations
16 long-term customer agreements locked in $22 billion in revenue
Deeply tied with Anthropic, HBM demand directly ramps up to 2028
So why is it still falling?
Because retail investors think “good news has already turned into bad news,” while institutions are quietly rebalancing.
Second thing: MU isn’t a chip stock—it’s “oil in the AI era.”
A lot of people treat MU like a regular semiconductor stock. That’s the biggest cognitive mistake.
What is HBM memory? It’s the “blood vessels” of AI compute power. Without HBM, Nvidia’s GPUs are basically scrap. Today, only three companies globally can produce HBM, and MU is the only one still crazily building factories on U.S. soil.
Did SK hynix’s listing divert funds today? That’s only a short-term disturbance. In the long run, the AI memory market is so large it can support three giants. No one “eats” another.
Third thing: a technical signal has appeared that you must take seriously.
950-975 is the prior breakout platform + Fib retracement 0.382 + a high-volume dense area. Today’s low at 957 has already touched this region. The 4-hour RSI shows a possible positive-negative divergence: price makes a new low, but the indicator doesn’t make a new low.
But at 1,000-1,014, MU has been blocked multiple times. If any rebound can’t break 1,014 with volume, it will likely come back to test 950 again.
Bull vs bear—judge for yourself.
One side says:
Q3 earnings beat across the board, Q4 guidance even stronger
AI memory demand at least looks out to 2028; HBM is “the bottleneck within the bottleneck” for compute power
$22B in long-term contracts locking in profit
950-975 is a strong support zone; RSI is in oversold repair
The other side says:
A 22% pullback from 1,255; the short-term trend is still bearish
Competitor SK hynix listed, diverting funds short term
Burry’s short triggers panic sentiment
If U.S. tech stocks broadly pull back, MU could be dragged down too
Key levels
Resistance: 1,000-1,014 → 1,100 → 1,250 (previous high) → 1,400-1,500 (long-term)
Support: 950-975 (strong support) → 900-850 (extreme black swan)
Conservative—wait and watch:
Wait to buy after it stands above 1,000 with volume, or wait for a pullback to retest 950 and confirm support.
Traders (short-term):
Bulls: buy in batches around 975 currently or on pullbacks between 950-970; stop-loss below 940; targets 1,050-1,100. You must wait for a K-line reversal signal (hammer + volume).
Bears: only consider if it breaks below 950 decisively and with volume; targets 900-850.
Medium/long-term DCA investors:
Build positions in batches in the 950-1,000 range; targets 1,400-1,500+. Stop-loss set below 940
Leverage warning: MU’s single-day volatility of 10%+ is normal; 3-5x leverage is capped on contracts. Don’t think about getting rich overnight—only if you survive do you have the right to wait for the bull market.
MU right now is like Nvidia at the beginning of 2023—
Everyone thinks, “It’s risen too much, it has to fall.” And every time it pulls back, it becomes a historical bottom.
MU at 975—I don’t dare buy.
When MU reaches 2,000 in 2027, will you blame yourself for what you did today?
What you fear isn’t MU’s fundamentals—it’s your own greed and fear. #GateUS合规扩展佛罗里达 #美股AI概念股普涨 #美伊战争阴云再起 $BTC $MU $SKHY
