ZachXBT: A suspected attack on a Solana early whale resulted in about 180.9k SOL being stolen
BlockBeats message, July 10: On-chain sleuth ZachXBT posted that an early whale address allegedly tied to the initial allocation of the Solana genesis block was attacked a few hours ago, with approximately 180,900 SOL (about $14.2 million) stolen.
ZachXBT said that, while working with on-chain investigation firm Specter Investigation to track abnormal fund flows, the address showed unusual actions including un-staking and a cross-chain transfer to Ethereum, after which it was confirmed that the related assets had been moved.
At present, the implicated victim address and multiple suspected theft addresses have been made public, and the specific attack method and the destination of the funds are still under further investigation.
