July 10: China’s single-day electricity consumption sets a new historical record again. Currently, both China’s power generation and electricity consumption each account for 30% of the world, while the U.S. electricity consumption is only 43% of China’s. However, China’s newly under-construction energy projects account for 60% of the world, while the U.S.’s planned energy projects account for only 9% worldwide; China’s under-construction energy is 11 times that of the U.S. Therefore, in a few years, China’s share of global power generation will further increase, and the energy gap between China and the U.S. will widen rapidly.
