Wu Says he learned that the U.S. crypto industry organization Blockchain Association submitted a comment letter to the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), recommending that tokenized assets meeting risk standards and payment-type stablecoins be allowed for margin and settlement, and that the rules be adjusted to accommodate 24/7 trading, real-time clearing, and on-chain records. The association also called for establishing clear review procedures for registering DeFi and blockchain-related entities, and said that front ends, non-custodial wallets, and software providers that have not actually performed custody or trading intermediary functions should not be considered financial intermediaries merely for providing technical services.
